    Default Red Fox | Ladakh

Photographed in Hemis National Park at Ladakh( Rumbak Valley). After 6 days of no sightings of any predator i was praying to see at-least Fox, or wolf or any other species.. the next day we planned to go to rumbak village for home stay, next morning we started walking towards rumbak village ( it was around 6 to 7 km from our tent ) before going to village on the way we found plain land where we stopped and our guides started scanning each and every mountain that day evening we sighted our first predator Wolf... after that we felt very happy and went to village and that night we stayed there.Next day morning we came to the same spot where we saw Wolf in the previous day by the time we reach there 3 foreigners were already reached that place and scanning the place with their binoculars and the they said they saw red fox and showed the place where it was sleeping and we waited for around 2 hours it didn't got up... after 2 hours of wait in that cold breeze it got up and ran behind the rock i could only manage to get this.
Our guides told its very difficult to sight these guys in the morning times becoz in the night times they roam around the villages and valley for food and in the morning time they take rest by sleeping whole day.

Nice and rare sighting of this richly coloured wily elegance of the Himalaya. Environmental composition looks good. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Lovely sighting of this bushy fellow. Seems too lazy to even look back. The habitat is also nicely covered here. Thanks for sharing.

Rare sighting. Your efforts paid off. Nice that you got it looking towards you. It camouflages well with the grass and the surroundings making it difficult to spot. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Good to see this red fox. It is not easy to sight them from a distance.
