    Default Changeable Hawk Eagle (CHE)

Right from the time we entered Corbett to the time we exited afer 6 safaris, I could hear CHE's calling. The entire forest was echoing with their calls at any time of the safari. Many were distant for photography, but this one was relatively closer and could get a clear image of this lovely bird.

    Nikon D7000, f/5.6, SS 1/2500, ISO 1250, ec +.3, 420mm (Nikon 300 f4+1.4x TC). Slightly cropped.

Nice calling pose. Good that you got the upper part of the body in clear. A more vertical framing with slight less space on the right and a bit more at the top would have been nice. I tried to work with the current image by cropping from the right. Could you record the call?

It is always good to see this bird. Looks like a large crop. At times we get it pretty close. We had a good shot of this bird feeding in kabini. Thanks for sharing.

nice murugan....hearing the call of this bird is something which gives me an illusion of being in the forest ....sort of a momentary escape from work stress...
