    Default The mammoth

    ID: Jumping Spider

Not sure if its a just coincidence or a fact that I have been spotting this beauty along this particular stretch(of course it cant be the same as I had spotted one last year). Its seems a tad too heavy for a general jumping spider and has a tinge of Gold along its body.
    ID detail would be appreciated

Hyllus semicupreus to me. You'll find multiple individuals on the same host plants or in the same forest patch.

I am not sure about the lifespan of this spider species. Most of the time they die after the rainy season due to want of food. The chances of finding the same individual spider after a year I think is remote.

From this angle the spider looks like some kind of cartoon character.

I also believe the same thing, but somehow at this particular spot have seen them...even past weekend I spotted one, slightly small than this beauty, but was on the other side of the path
