View Full Version : A variety of Common Calotes??

Thanks to Abhishek, the previous post I made on a lizard spotted at SGNP educated me on the species name. This is another image I had taken a couple of months back while on a weekend trip at my cousin's farm house in the outskirts of Mumbai. Though the colour and the texture looks different, the underlying characteristics look the same. Maybe another common calotes but not sure. Again, exact species name invited :)

Nikon D3100,F/5.6,SS 1/320,ISO-100,ec +.3,300mm.

Is that a paper bag on the left? :) May be slightly moving to the right would have been better as the hind part is not clearly visible.

How big was it? Could be a common calotes (Calotes versicolor).
