Black Shouldered Kite @SGNP

The light was really harsh as I was driving through Sanjay Gandhi Nat Park. Spotted this black shouldered kite perched high up a dry branch. Got off my vehicle and inched close to it. This is just about an ok shot I could manage. It was during summer and the sky was too bright.Spotted the langurs shortly afterwards.

Good to see one black shouldered kit. When the light is favourable, their eyes glow red.

When I was in Chennai while driving down to Sriperumbudur, every day I used to sight them perched on the electric wires. Hardly there are trees on the roadside, so the only place they can perch on is the electric wires. Thanks for sharing.
