A mother elephant dusting herself for protection from germs, a baby elephant rubbing herself to her mother for the same, and a few birds feeding on the insects uncovered by the elephants' kicking the ground; it all seems like LIFE!

Nice natural behaviour of elephants so well documented.Dusting serves to relieve cutaneous irritation or to provide some cutaneous gratification. The tiny calf is yet to acquire this skill of dusting, so has chosen to rub against mother's body.Birds are utilising the opportunity by catching insects. In the vast open space it looks immensely pleasing. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Good to see an elephant going about its natural behaviour. This image would have really shined if there was direct sunlight on the elephant. The calf is cute and increases the appeal of the image. Thanks for sharing.

Agree with the previous comments. Lovely behaviour captured. The calf is very cute and enhances this image. Had the dry patch beyond the grass not been there and if it was an extension of the grassland it might have looked even better. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely image. Specially liked the mud being thrown around and the calf. Do you have an image without the extender ? Thanks for sharing.
