A Group Sunbath

[Vijayashankara Nanjegowda]

this was taken in Bandipur forest, Karnataka.
we had seen this the first day we went in, before i could shoot , one by one jumped in to water! it was great disappointment. But next day for our surprise they were again taking the sunbath. i had ample time to click.

It is a nice sight to see all the tortoise on the trunk. Nice pattern. There seems to be some loss of details. Is this a crop? Thanks for sharing.

no it was not cropped, may be because i had used digital zooming to get close up shot,

Never use digital zoom.

Digital zoom just selects a portion of the image that your lens is capable of getting. If you want to crop, then do so in the computer rather than digital zooming. The quality deteriorates a lot.
