My lens testing continues whenever I get a little more time.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 100mm f2.8 L macro IS USM, ISO 1600, f16, 1/100, full frame image.

Cheers,

I dont know the Named of this Bug..but you got nice close up.. shot, with good details..
its looking like you got nice natural light in image. Then Why ISO 1600?

Nice details. The clean background enhances the composition further. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Bhavya, I think, as Sabysachi has used a very narrow aperture of f16, to get the shutter speed of atleast 1/100 he had to increase the ISO to 1600.

This is the moult of a cicada nymph. The nymphs spend very long periods (several years) maturing underground, and then burrow out, climb onto a tree and moult to begin life as an adult.

I found that at 1:1 magnification, the IS doesn't appear to be giving the full 4 stops advantage. Even f16 was not really enough here. I shoot at various shutter speeds to completely assess the lens. So this was at ISO 1600.
