Shrike

Photographed in Bharatpur. Got only one photograph of it. While processing this image, I was thinking if a vertical composition would have been better here. Let me know what you think.

Full frame capture of shrike is yet a dream for me. Lovely capture. a famous Indian photographer once said... horizontal is what we see the world with the naked eye... thats more natural... smae for me the composition is natural.

Nice potrait. The biggest challenge i have faced with Shrikes and bee eaters is to expose the black eye on a black streak running from the beak to the back of the head. This is wonderfully done. The BG blends with the composition. I prefer the horizontal in this frame. Wondering if a little more space to the right (the direction the bird is facing) would have enhanced this potrait. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent image with lovely composition. Nice pose ,lights, and details. Perch is also nice running diagonally. Vertical composition would be great if you have some more space above head.Since it is full frame image ,you will have to add canvas on the top.

Rotating the camera to the vertical orientation and clicking would have given more space at the top.
