Lovely first post. Would have loved it if you could have gone a little lower. Also the blob/bokeh just behind the beak could have been avoided. Overall a good shot.

Please post the details of Camera, lens, ISO, aperture etc so that it will be easier to visualise.

I would have liked the head turned slightly towards you. That would have enhanced the eye contact. A shallow depth of field would have been better to isolate the subject from the background. I guess the background rocks are too close. Is this a cropped image? Some more space at the bottom would have been better.

I like this but would have preferred if the circular highlight behind the beak had not been present.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, i didnt see the bright spot near beak while clicking the pic. The rocks were quite near but probably i kept the aperture a bit too small. Its cropped very slightly to avoid some disturbance around. I waited for the bird to turn but by the time it flew off.
