This is unique pose while it was hopping and flying from one perch to another. The two perches were not very near, so it needed to accelerate a bit while hopping.

Nice mid-air pose captured. I had seen them hoping like this from tree to tree at Ranganathittu. The upward wing stroke is nice. Wish it was turned slightly towards you, that would have enhanced the eye contact further. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pose. A bit more side on pose would have been better as this is angled and moving away from the frame.

This is another bird which doesn't have colourful plumage. Nevertheless, one can create good images due to their behaviour. I think Mrudul had got mating images of this bird. You will get them full frame in ranganathittu with the 400mm.
