Male Spotted Dear trying to smell

This was during the Indiawilds meet. Looks like this male was trying to smell female pheromones, not sure though.

Lovely image.Nice composition.
Chital's sense of smell is highly developed.Was there any other stag with hard antler nearby? If so,the stag is rolling its eyes(displaying white of the eyes)- reminding not to intrude, live and let live.If not,the use of rolled eye(to display the white) is very common in Chital to direct a subordinate.
I have observed it in Corbett.

Yeah Shaktipada there was another stag with hard antlers nearby. Even I had observed the roll of the eyes, as the eyeball is back to center in the next image. I wasn't aware about the reason for the roll of the eyes. Thanks for providing such a valuable information.
