thank you all for your C&C. it has been raining continuously with an hour or two break for last one month here. birds seem to have gone on holiday to some drier place. but this family of munias appeared from nowhere and caught my attention unaware. i was preparing to go to my office and the rain had just stopped & heard the chirps. took out my 7D (by the way i am told that my 5DMKIII is waiting for me at my home which i will be able to lay my hands on tomorrow) with 100-400 mm, f/5.6, 1/320 & ISO 400. it is a cropped image. there were actually five chicks, two were obstructed by a wooden post. a confession....shot through the grill of my bed room window, handheld & bent body.
