This was photographed on the way back from kabini. It was on the opposite side of the pond and so quite far away. It is cropped around 20%.
Canon 50D, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII TC, ISO 400, f8, 1/1000, tripod.

Nice catch. Looks like a frog. The eye contact is nice. The bird was very far off. I remember watching it through my 70-200 f2.8 L IS II USM lens just to view the action. So the longer focal length helped here. :) With your 1.6 factor camera, the effective focal length was 800*1.6=1280mm.
In the days of using slide films, this focal length was a dream.

Nice freeze. Good eye contact and timing. Great Egret with Big catch...how about excluding the hint of vegetation at the top ?

That would be quite a satisfying meal :). Nice shot. Love the exposure of the whites here. Agree with Roopak's crop suggestion.

Nice image Mrudul. The shades of grey and green on the water surface looks nice. Ofcourse the frog in the Egret's mouth is also a highlight in this image.
