Another Cloudy day capture.
Its always a pleasure to see this beauty as I always remembered seeing this bird in my childhood but later somehow its almost missed from the normal sighting in Dombivli.
I have been trying to capture it everytime a bunch of the pied starlings migrated through Dombivli but most of the time missed a proper frame. Finally here is the successful frame. I was happy to know that a couplet had settled down at the outskirts of a village near Dombivli.

Due to improper lighting and cloudy day had to overexpose the frame.

Nice image Prajwal. The pied starling also known as pied myna is quite common in and around mumbai. I have photographed it many times near dombivli. I visit my cousins occasionally and generally take the village route behind the nandivli nala across the tracks.

There are vast open lands & swamps and lots of birds can be seen there. Pied starlings,Purple herons,Black Ibis, wagtails, shrikes, munias etc are just to name a few. Hope you continue to have good sightings. Thanks for sharing.

The pano composition along the cable suits this image. Could you get it on a natural perch? You could try recovering the sky highlights, but not sure since they appear to be completely blown here...

Thanks for the compliments

Ananthram Sir, I do stroll around the Khadi area where I spot most of the birds, had spotted something like a water hen, unfortunately most of the time it was too dark, also have spotted Pied Kingfisher and some small Kingfisher, not sure if a Dwraf or Common Blue Kingfisher. Shall be trying to capture them in frame in coming weekends.

Abhishek, As mentioned earlier it was densely cloudy evening and losing a lot of light due to which I had to overexpose the frame and in this task burnt the background. Also tried capturing in natural perch but due to consistent dumping of waste stuff the bank of the whole water body is polluted and didnt want that to be captured in the frame. Have spotted the location of the nest, if sanely possible, I shall try to capture it near its nest.

Quite tough conditions to photograph. The eye contact and the composition is nice. Wish you get is soon on a natural perch in good light :). Thanks for sharing.
