Shot this during my morning walk at the resort, this guy initially was so camouflaged that I had not seen him, later he changed the location only then I noticed.

Nice stare. Some more space at the bottom would be good. Wish the light was better for a narrower aperture. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely eye contact praveen. Agree with mrudul on space below. Looks like Asian barred owlet (Glaucidium cuculoides).

Nice eye contact. Beautifully captured. This being a crop, you tipped off the tail... any pwericular reasons?

Prasad thanks for observing it, fortunately I have one more image where there is some more pace at the bottom and the tail is not clipped.
Roopak - Thanks for nailing down the correct id
Mrudul- I will re-post a new image and that should fix most of the points discussed:)
