Caught this Indian roller in action, Just love the shades of blue on it. You don't realise that this bird could be gifted with such beautiful wings when it sits idle on a branch. But when it spreads its wings, it shows its true colours :001_smile:

This is also known as the Karnataka state bird.

Nice wing spread. The clean background looks good. Some more sharpness would have enhanced the image further. Please check the AF point. Also is this a full frame or a crop? Thanks for sharing.

I have run noise reduction on it to remove grains. Should've shot it at ISO 200 and yes I've cropped it.
I'll upload the sharpened image soon

Hey Saajan, you have done a good job with 55-250mm lens. ISO 400 was needed hear. ISO 200 wouldn't have given you the required shutter speed.

Effects of noise reduction are clearly visible and you have certainly lost some details due to it.

I feel, focus could have been better here. Which AF drive were you using?
