a queer insect..

spotted this butterfly in the thicket of undergrowth on the bank of a stream, about the size of little finger nail. ID not known, pl help identify if this is a butterfly, to me it appeared a butterfly. shot with EOS 5D Mark III + 100 mm macro, 1/40, iso 400, f/7.1, EC - 0.3.

I guess this might be a kind of treehopper. It lacks the characteristic antennae of butterflies or moths.
