Lovely image Dr.Kakati. If not for you we would never get to see images in and around gwalior.Thanks.

The colors seems to be slowly evolving on the juvenile. Eventually it will look like a south indian lady with turmeric on her face :). Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact. The low angle looks good. Where in Gwalior is this? Are there sizeable number of vultures there? Thanks for sharing.

I have spotted these vultures many places around Gwalior in last one year time..seen even in the ravines of Chambal. The largest flock ,I saw , was consisting of about 30 vultures with different stages of maturity in a Paddy field along the Gwalior By pass in last Winter.I was the only guy standing alone beside this large flock feeling little bit scared of the situation :)Recently I have seen a flock of about 6-7 birds near one cadaver. Thanks

Great. Nice image. I like the eye contact and the low angle.

It would be really helpful if you can just do a bit more work on these vultures and put together a piece showing the habitat, flock size and some behaviour. That will considerably increase our knowledge about this species in and around gwalior.
