Harshad,
A good find. Nice background. Like the texture in the tree. Where was this in Bandhavgarh? I agree with Mital that this image is not razor sharp like some of your previous images. So a little bit of extra sharpening will help. What was the shutter speed?
Cheers,

i have looked at your image and found its an issue of focusing.

To me it could be good if you enhance a bit more ISO to get better shutter speed and increase the aperture say f11 as the situation of the bird is like on various depth it would be nice from next shoot if you find same angle increase aperture to get better depth of field of bird.

Harshad,
The repost is better but looks like you worked on the small jpeg. Mital's repost brings out sharpness better. The D300 has good high ISO abilities upto ISO 800 (I haven't used it but have been told). So try using the higher ISOs. If there is a choice between noise and a soft image, I will definitely go for noise ie. a higher ISO.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Agree about the sharpness, the lens must have focused on the back of the bird.
