When I was carrying 55-250, I found It way short for birding, Then after almost two years I took 400mm F5.6, but man even with this, the birds like prinia are way far to fill the frame... and then crop is unavoidable.....

for this take I was in MFD of my 400, Luckly for me the bird could not resist itself from coming to its nest.

Nice perch and eye contact. The clean background looks nice. Agree with Praveen, no focal length is enough for birding. As this is a crop, I think you can include a bit more space all around and make it a off-centered composition. You can also try to make bird-scapes showing more of the habitat. Thanks for sharing.

Nice Image.. Difficult to capture always in the move.... nice eye contact and green background.. space towards left instead of right making bird off centered will look better... TFs

Nicely diffused background. Eye contact is good. When the bird is at a distance why not try and create an environmental image which can stand on its own without cropping. For that one needs to show the environment in such a way that the relationship between the habitat and the subject is highlighted. Thanks for sharing.

A Lovely capture. This is a Plain Prinia. There is no sexual dimorphism in Ashy Prinia and both sexes look alike.
