Kabini Backwaters, previous year when i visited kabini there were herds of elephants near the backwaters(herds of 10, herds of 6...much more) but this year the the elephants Population gradually reduced. this year you can hardly see a herd, is this because of forest fire recently took place or less water or any other reason...

experts views on this please......

Lovely landscape. The line of white birds look nice. Agree there were hardly any elephants this time :(. Is this full frame? There is a slight tilt, you can try to correct it if it is not full frame. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely landscape and colors Sucheth. Agree with Mrudul, there is a slight tilt which can be corrected. It seems to have rained a while back before you took the snap. Thanks for sharing.

nice colours sucheth. agree on the tilt...including less of the clouds and more of the land wud been nice. the forest fire has played havoc in that entire strech. Ive heard there was significant elephant movement to the kerala side.

Forest fires take a major toll on the availability of food for elephants. It is tough on them to change their age old migration pattern. When such an incident occurs, it is the elders who guide the group to new areas based on their previous knowledge.

I agree that the horizon is tilted. So correcting that will look good. Thanks for sharing.
