hello friends,
i have heard that in Africa one gets to click animals from very close. which lens will be more suitable for this job among 24-105, 28-135, 70-200 ?

In Africa you will find animals at various distances. A wide angle for landscapes like 24-105 would be good.

I haven't tested the recent version of the 28-135 IS lens. The previous version is not great. Take your 400mm.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Dr.Katre, I was in SA earlier this year and managed to go to Kruger N.P. I had my 18-105 and 70-300 and could manage to get decent shots. However if you do have a longer lens then I would recommend you keep it, there are no fixed rules in the jungle afterall.

Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and wildebeests would be close. Lions do come close but not leopards, hippos and cheetahs (atleast not in my case). It also depends a bit on which part of africa you are in. Which place are you visiting?
