Nice image.Good details.Do they still remain segregated and kept in a separate large enclosure for safety as was the case a few years back? Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Hi Saktida,

Yes, they are still inside the electrified fenced area, primarily to protect them from tigers and to closely monitor their progress. This is just adjacent to the Salukhapur FRH. However despite the fencing a couple of tigers have taken up residence inside the area and last year 1 killed an adult rhino.

Nice image. In the green background it looks good.

Unfortunately despite more than two decades (close to three) these rhino's are in the enclosure. They should have been freed from the enclosure. They are more than capable of defending themselves in the wild. The newborn calves are vulnerable, however, their mother will take care of them. Patrolling needs to be increased to tackle poaching.

Kaustuv,

The greens make this image look good. The exposure seems pretty right. A job well done. May be, having just a li'l more space at the left instead of right would have made this flawless.

Cheers

The grass is a highlight here obviously apart from the Rhino :). The dof has come out well. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys, yes agree with a bit more head space...however balancing on the back of an elephant which was constantly shuffling around as the rhino itself was a bit jumpy at having been disturbed and was moving off proved tricky
