Location- Middle Andaman Island, India. Jun 2001.
An Endemic Species Found In Andaman & Car Nicobar Islands India.
Venomous, grows up to 1.10m. Nocturnal in Habits.
Camera body- Nikon F60 / Lense- 60 macro with ring flash / Iso-100

Nice pose. Liked the colours, I think it would be nicely camouflaged on the rocky surface. Is this a crop? Thanks for sharing.

This guy doesnt look happy. The colors are nice, seems to be about 3 feet in length. The habitat seems wet, was it raining? Thanks for sharing.

Thanx. Ya Mrudul, some times they are so camouflaged that I had almost stepped on it, image is slightly cropped from right.

Thanx Murugan, you catch the right expression it was just about to strike on me. It was about 2 ft. & the land was wet due to moisture, as usual like in tropical rain forest.

Its body looks like glowing. How many different colourations these pit vipers have?

Thanx Sabyasachi, I've seen about 10/12 different color forms.
