I was not aware that Tridacna are found so shallow... How big was this one? Have you dived/snorkelled in the area and recorded more of this species?

Thanx Abhishek, it was small about 3 inches, I've snorkeled many times but not dived yet, wish to do diving course in my next visit. I've seen many exotic invertebrates just in 1m deep water at low tide.

Seems to be the perfect place for a person like me, I can drown by just mentioning 6ft water :D, cant swim for nuts. Do these clams move (I've heard similar organisms just latch on to something for a long time), if yes I am sure it would be beautiful to see them slither in a patterned fashion with their curvy bodies. Lovely, Thanks for sharing.

Thanx Murugan, I don't think they do move.
