Oh it seems the tuskers are still getting irritated by the tourists. I was thinking as the jungles are closed there would be less tourists in that area. You have captured the attacking pose nicely. Was the car honking or blocking the tuskers path? Thanks for sharing.

The car driver stopped the car just in front of the tusker & started to click using flash. It got irritated & charged at them.
Thanks for the Reply

I too think that he is in Musth. Can some one kindly confirm?

Not an old fellow. It is supposed to get this throbbing pain during musth phase with secretion from the temporin gland as well as urine frequently streaming/falling on the legs. The elephants are very restrained, else we would have seen a smashed car.

It appears to me that the beautiful tusker had experienced the periodic occurence of musth in the recent past but the musth pores have healed up. I do not find any musth stain or outflow on cheek. Musth has left some scar marks around the area on its thick skin which will also become smooth with mud or water bath in normal course. Thanks for sharing the image and views expressed.SaktiWild
