This Heron was very curious and was looking at the lens very curiously. Cropped, sharpened and denoised. Background is half dried vegetation and distant green plants.
ISO: 500, 1/500 @ F: 5.6.Evaluating metering. Exposure bias: +0.3.
White balance: Auto. HH. Canon: 550D, 400mm.

Nice pose.

I guess you are using the central AF point? That makes the bird centered. I think using a peripheral AF point and including more space at the bottom would have been also nice.
