I had photographed this tiger in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 300mm F4 L IS USM, ISO 800, f4, 1/160, full frame image.

Look forward to your critiques.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Nice sharp shot, the contrast is good. Would have loved the bottom mound on the left to be absent... :)

Wow, this image is so beautiful.
Reminds me of the white tigers I saw in Bandavgarh (Panna - MP) decades back.

Nice one Sabyasachi. I like the perspective but would have liked to see a greater range of mid-tones.

Nice to see a Tadoba tiger (tigress?) from you... the animal is nicely isolated in the frame with the bamboo forming a lovely background. Would love to see a colour version too.

Cheers,
Aditya

Kiran & Aditya,

Colour version for you.

I would have liked greater dof. Unfortunately, the light was not sufficient and I was standing on the seat of the gypsy to come to eyelevel as the tiger was sitting on top of a bund.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

the colour one looks lovely especially the eye contact....my personal take is that i still cannot appreciate a b/w picture of a tiger...the stripe patterns and colours makes the tiger more beautiful and powerful I feel. The thing about a white tiger is that it has an altogether different persona which makes it attractive which the b/w image of a non-white tiger doesnt capture..my thoughts thats all..:)
