Nice image of such a congregation in their true habitat. It reminds me about Sajnekhali Bird Sanctuary (Sundarbans T.R), in late seventies and early eighties before a devastating cyclone uprooted all the towering trees.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

In Telineelapuram (naupada swamps) where the East coast power plant was being constructed, the villagers consider the painted storks as a good omen. And the day the painted storks start arriving, they consider that day to be auspicious.
