Spotted this in the huge and beautiful gardens of Taj, Agra last month.
Canon 550D, 70-300mm, f.5.6, 1/40 sec, Av Mode , FL 300mm, ISO 400.

Was it at ground level? Looks like you had a large crop. When the AF point covers a large area, it can lock on to any part within that. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks..actually the owlet wasnt on the ground level..it was sitting inside the bark of the tree which was bit high..and this is not a crop..i knw the focus locked on the bark.. but if i had shifted towards more left..the bark was in between and i couldnt see the owlet at all..this was only angle..i wanted to ask given the same situation..how should this snap be clicked more better?
