That is quite close. Was it walking towards you? Agree with Ashokji a vertical composition would have been better. For horizontal composition, less space at the bottom to remove the hint of legs and placing the bird a bit more to the right would have helped. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. You seemed to be close and at a higher angle to this bird. Where was this photographed? A vertical composition would have been better here. The background seems to be smudged. Any blurring of the background?
