I photographed this tiny, yet a beautiful bird at Kotagiri, near Ooty. This flycatcher is approx 13 cm long. It is a long-tailed flycatcher-like bird with an upright stance. The adult has a grey head and breast, green upper parts and bright yellow under parts. They are found as winter migrants in the Western Ghats and parts of southern India. The Grey-headed Canary-flycatcher is an insectivore, these birds build nest on a rock ledge or in a tree trunk, and the clutch is three or four eggs.

Very cute bird. Nice perch and eye contact. Slight less space on the right would be good. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image Praveen. There seems to be some noise in this image. Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact. There is an out of focus patch above the head which attracts attention. Unfortunately light seems to be low so you couldn't use the 1.4x TC. This seems to be a large crop, so the noise. While sharpening the noise also gets sharpened. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Cheers,
