A mixed flock of Brahminy and Black kites above the sea near Karwar. They soar in large numbers to locate incoming fishing boats from where they can snatch a quick meal.

I liked the vertical composition, it gives a nice view of both the kites on top and the mountains below. The different shades of blue look nice. Good you could get a few clouds to add to the composition. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Abhishek,
This is a nice image. What time you clicked this? The birds in the sky lend a lot of drama to this. If this would have been clicked early in the morning/late in the evening, then there would have been lot of colours as well. I would have preferred the foreground rocks in this image. Thanks for sharing. Keep on experimenting.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi
PS: You guys are enticing me to visit all these small places. How to do? There is only one life!

Thanks Sabyasachi. This was clicked at around 4.30 pm. Wouldn't have been possible to click this later in the evening because the kites are active only during a 15-20 minute period when the day-long fishing fleets come to port. Moreover, the flock moves collectively, and they would be at this particular spot for as short as 20-30 seconds.
