During a recent Bird walk to Barvi Dam area, near Badlapur, we encountered the I.B.W.S. several times and we were astounded with its and its web span size and at one such occasion the lighting seemed great enough to glimmer the web in golden shade. This image is one of the attempts to capture that moment.

Nice perspective. How large was this specimen? Can you provide the binomial name please? It would be interesting to compare it with the Giant Wood Spider.

Good you tried a different composition for a spider on the web. Mostly we see the frontal view. The light has created a nice effect. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Abhishek, it was about the size of our palm. Shall share few more frames from diff angles for more clarity upon the specimen.
