Vultures are vanishing from Girnar,The highest peak of Gujarat. Some 70-80 only are remaining according to local nature club census.Rope-way work is just started but it may affect these beautiful birds,So permission from Supreme court is pending.let us see who wins ? `Development ` or Nature????
I had my old Nikon P 90 compact camera to capture this, because it is 3 hours of tough accent to peak, so i had not taken my bulky SLR gear.

Nice flight pose captured. Good eye contact. Had heard about this case, it is very unfortunate that the government should even think of building a rope way there. That would only increase the tourists, more destruction of the habitat and will also cause harm to this endangered species. Hope Supreme Court rules against the rope way. Thanks for sharing.

Nice flight pose. I hope better sense prevails and the project is stopped.
