Nice sighting. Wish you had photographed when the head was turned towards the right, so the left eye would have been visible as the light is from the left. Some loss of details due to the crop. Thanks for sharing.

In these situations you can try using a 1.4x TC. It will not auto focus f8, however, you will need to crop less.
