Good eye contact. As it is a crop including more of the habitat would be good. Thanks for sharing.

The feet has been cut off. The eye contact is fine.

I sometimes think that people should have had a taste of shooting in slide films, so that they know how to compose without cropping. That makes a person think and often resulted in environmental compositions highlighting the interaction of the subject with its environment.

The best environmental compositions are where the subject is between 1/3rd and at times going up close to 2/3rds of the frame. When a person upgrades to long telephoto lenses, the compositions become tight. So when someone is learning and has medium or short telephoto lenses, attempt should be made to create habitat images without cropping. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice image Raj. Including the feet would have been better.

Sabyasachi: Though I agree with you largely, sometimes to bring more details of the subject one does crop. Especially when one doesnt have a long tele lens. Unfortunately its more because of one not having a choice but to crop.
