The eye contact is nice. Quite crowded foreground, so difficult to focus. Maybe using a hide and sitting will help to get them close in the field. Thanks for sharing.

Nice effect in this image, the clutter somehow gives a nice feel. Agree with mrudul, hides are quite effective in getting birds at close range. Another way is to start early and wait near regular preches. Sooner or later you will get them close.

I think a higher depth of field would have given a nice effect here.

Some good suggestions given by Mrudul and Roopak. I am sure there would also be a lot of photographers and birders trying to go close to them. This is bound to make them nervous. And there are guys who go to the other extreme. In LRK, I was told that photographers were routinely forcing the owls to fly to get flight shots.
