Yes. it is a purple heron. Where was this clicked. Which camera and lens was used for clicking this? How much of a crop is this? The focus appears to be slightly behind the bird. Thanks for sharing.

thank you, took the pic in theroor bird sanctuary near nagercoil kanyakumari Dist, camera used nikon d90 55- 300 mm VR lens.

Nice image. I agree about the focus. It is quite difficult to focus rightly on its eyes or slender neck, so it is better to use manual focusing. the violet flowers look nice. Thanks for sharing.
