Beautiful image. Nice eye contact. Alert pose.
It appears to me to be Western Reef-Egret (Egretta gularis) in breeding plumage. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Nice eye contact. Is the AF point on the body? You could have used a narrower aperture. Was this clicked from a car? A lower angle would have been good (maybe you could have tried squatting, I know the ground looks muddy :)). Slight more brightness would be good. Thanks for sharing.

Well this was taken from a small sized vessel(Small ship), getting down wasnt an option as few ppl tried and it turned out to be knee deep marsh, almost like quicksand, I was almost horizontal on the ground surface of vessel :)
I actually was searching for any form of opening at lower level of the vessel, but it was undergoing some deconstruction, so cudnt risk any more.
I went for F/8 as few other snaps with F/5.6 turned out to be not so sharp. I guess the AF point was on body.
Thanks for the ID help Saktipada Sir and your valuable feedback/Critics Mrudul Madam :)

Oh, didn't know it would be knee deep marshy land :(. The way the egret is standing with ease, shows how light these birds are. Good that you went for the lowest angle possible.

Nice to see this bird. Were you shooting through the glass? How much of a crop is this? Some more details on the bird would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

No, I was taking it from the deck of the vessel. Its a small crop, as the bird wasn't too far off from me.
I guess there were 4 to 5 of them at the mudflats and the most interesting part was the agility of the bird, it would jump, fly chase almost like a hyperactive kid.
