Nice comosition, I have never been close to this species so far, all distant shots. Red eye, tad over saturated on my screen. Is it same for others?

I agree with Prasad about the over saturation. Also the blacks have lost details. So you need to lift it a bit. How much of a crop is this? Thanks for sharing.

Thank You. Although I did not increase the saturaton it somehow came out like this, will look into it. About 20% crop. Is the subject in focus? this is the best I could manage inspite of plenty of opportunity.

Agree with the above comments. Were you photographing from a boat? Where was the AF point? Thanks for sharing.

I was lying on the ground and was very uncomfortable. The AF point was was just above the eye on the right.

nice one anshul.maybe it is the harsh light. but then the plumage of this bird is peculiar and often gives an high contrast look.
