Cannot recall what the background was. These butterflies fly at ground level . So the background must be some dry vegetation and shadows at some distance.

Nice to see that you have again restarted with a DSLR. People like you have have the knowledge and love for the macro world should document more so that awareness can be raised.

I like the image. The perch appears a bit dark. Increasing the brightness a bit will strengthen the image. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.
