This was pictured near Pallikarnai as well. Early morning before sunlight and had to bump up the ISO to 400 to get atleast a 1/100 shutter speed at F6.

I quite like this image, Rajan. I'd suggest opening it up by at least half a stop to make the light stand out more clearly. However, the next time you need to look for an angle so the branch does not seem to be touching the bird.

Nice image. The tree trunk texture has come out nicely as is the wings. I would wish for more depth of field in this one. The plane of focus is the wings and the head is a little bit behind, so f8 would have been better in covering the head.
