NIKON D200, TRIPOD.MODE - A,
@ KALAMB SEA BEACH, NALASOPARA (WEST), MUMBAI
1/2500s, f/5.6, 270mm (Nikkor 70-300mm ED Lens)
Cropped at left and Top

This 2nd hand camera and Nikkor 70-300mm ED Lens, not getting clear sharp focus, it is in trial and error method photograph.

This is my first BIF photograph by Nikon D200.

The composition looks nice. Where was the AF point? For capturing birds in flight it is better to use all point focus, so at least one point gets locked on the bird. How much crop is this? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul Godbole Mam, AF point is in center, next time i will take all point focus, thanks. Crop percentage not known but approximately 20%, I cropped in Picassa in High Definition style.

Do you photograph in RAW or jpeg? It is better to use RAW mode as later you can do level adjustments and all the details are retained. The best software to use for post processing is Adobe Lightroom. You can check the link below for details -

Look at the tips section. For flight photography apart from technique, one needs to practice a lot. Keep on practicing and you will soon improve. Thanks for sharing.
