Composition is fine but this is underexposed. + EV should be given while shooting. This image could be corrected to some level in photoshop. Requires historgram stretch and curves correction.

Cute bird. Good eye contact and catch light. Nice perch. The composition looks fine. Agree a bit more brightness and reducing the saturation would enhance the image further. Thanks for sharing.
