After the first look at homo sapiens in a Maruti Suzuki, she starts to walk towards the road (and us!).

A four and a half year old first time mother, informs the forest guide. She doesn't have a name yet(?)

Amit, I'd prefer a non-centred compo. I'd also add a tad more sharpening. No other nits.

Amit,
The shutter speed was 1/100. That is likely to have contributed to the loss of sharpness. I would have increased the ISO to 400. That would have doubled the shutter speed to 1/200. I agree with Apana that a offcentre composition would have been better. I would have taken off a bit from the right side for an offcentre composition.

Hi Amit,
Where did you see this female? how old are the cubs?
We bumped into her on road no. 9( thats what the guide called it) In feb 2009.
In may 2009 saw a huge male in the same area.

wish u could have moved a bit to the left for a better view... !!!
a bit more sharpness would have worked wonders fr this pic....!!!
But..on the whole.... very nice ... :-)
