Nilgiritragus hylocrius

Dashed off to Eravikulam from our busy conservation project schedule and got this one. It was drizzling and foggy. Light was bad. I felt it was tight especially over the head. I would have been happy with more space at the top, but this is a full frame.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, ISO 400, f2.8, 1/500, EV:+2/3rd, full frame.

I just came to Munnar and could login. Look forward to your comments.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Good you could get some images. The space at the top does not bother me, but I would consider cropping the lighter portions at the bottom of the image.

Nice closeup. Sharp image.Seems you were lying flat on your belly while taking this. Liked the low angle. Agree with Apana about the foreground, its a bit distracting. The details on the horns are good.

Was it possible to use a higher aperture to get the whole body sharp considering the low light?
