I like the angle. You were already at f16. Slightly more depth of field to cover the tip of the nose would have been fantastic. I know how tough it is to get a sharp image at such apertures. Did you use the on camera flash? The flash and the distance between the light and background has led to the dark background. I like your macro compositions. I hope you continue focusing on clicking macro subjects despite getting your 300 2.8. :) Thanks for sharing.
