Telia Tigress Cub

Recently visited Tadoba. Had a great time there except for the bevy of gypsies mobbing the tigers. But this cub almost an adult now, came out of the thickets very close to where our gypsy was standing. For a while we were the only ones when she crossed our path. Quite lucky that we got to observe her peacefully while she went about her way. A big thanks to Gajanan Bhai without whom we could not have got a great gypsy driver and guide.

Nice sighting. Good that she came towards you. Nice eye contact. The shutter speed was quite less, using a higher ISO would have been good. So is there lot or rush? I think in Tadoba with so many tiger sighting, it might be like 4-5 gypsy's behind 1 tiger :(. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see that you have got a tiger sighting. Good that you got it in natural habitat and not in the cement tubs or culverts. It is always a great feeling to have a tiger close to the vehicle. Not such a good idea to face such a mighty animal on foot though, however big and powerful the man may be as they often may an undignified and hasty retreat. :)

When she came out of the thickets the light was very harsh. It was 3.30pm and hence I kept the iso to minimum. However when she started walking around she moved into some patches of shade,didn't have the time to change settings then.

We were the only gypsy for a while Mrudul,later 3 others joined us. After about 1.5hrs we spotted the pandherpouni tigress and it was a.nightmare then as there were at least 20 gypsies around. Was a mess.

Lower angle was not possible Roopak as we were in a gypsy and where she was walking was lower ground.
